Tasks and Structure

The SGH

- works in close cooperation with the CCIs and the German Chambers of Commerce Abroad (AHKs). It promotes and supplements their respective regional services and experience in the national and global field of alternative dispute resolution. 

- leverages the combined knowledge of 79 CCIs and AHKs at 150 locations in 93 countries. Its mission is to strengthen Germany as a leading center for business and dispute resolution, to promote diverse forms of alternative dispute resolution and to support companies of all sizes, both nationally and internationally. Independent, publicly appointed and sworn experts play a key role in this effort.

- provides its own arbitration framework for resolving commercial disputes, both domestically and internationally, offering a reliable and professional alternative to litigation.

- draws on a pool of experienced arbitrators and operates within a modern, service-driven structure. In collaboration with the CCIs and AHKs, the SGH continuously evolves its service portfolio to meet the changing needs of the business community

- is comprised of the Committee for Alternative Conflict Resolution (Committee), a Board of Directors and a dedicated Management Office, ensuring strategic oversight and operational excellence.
